Xanthan Gum - Industrial Grades

Xanthan has a huge variety of uses in many areas of modern industry. Whenever a rheology control agent or viscosifier is required to work under extreme conditions, Xanthan is the product. Xanthan can maintain stability over long periods in both highly acid and alkali environments, as well as extremes of pressure and temperature. Chemcolloids also offer a cost-effective readily soluble grade, which is particularly effective when used in acidic industrial and domestic cleaning fluid products.
Used right across industry, Chemcolloids supply Xanthan for use as a drilling mud, for rheology control in both acid and alkali cleaning agents, as a replacement for depolymerised guar in acid fabric printing suspensions and for many other purposes besides.

The “X Range” of Xanthan Gum is our premium range. Introduced to provide an alternative to the big brand named Xanthan Gums, this wide range comprises of high-performing products:

X40GG – 40 mesh readily dispersible industrial grade
XanInd – 80 mesh industrial grade

Any of the food grades of Xanthan from the X Range can also be used for industrial applications.

“ClearXan” is a brand new range of transparent Xanthan Gum. Currently we are taking orders for just one grade and having it made to order, but as interest grows the range will expand and if the interest and demand continues, stocking of this grade for immediate despatch is probable:

“EcoXan” is our brand new range of Xanthan, primarily stocked with industrial uses in mind, but also fully approved for food use. Stocks will be available from April:
