Chemcolloids was formed in 1990 with the intention of capitalising on the knowledge of its shareholders in the fields of hydrocolloids and food ingredients. As a result of this vision, we are now one of the leading suppliers of hydrocolloids and related products in the UK.
It was decided at the outset to put quality as a foremost consideration and the company was successful in obtaining BS5750 (ISO 9002) certification in early 1991.
Since the inception of the company to the present day, Chemcolloids has continued to go from strength to strength, investing in products that compliment each other and increasing our portfolio.
At the beginning of 2008 Chemcolloids became fully independent and moved into premises in Congleton, Cheshire. This is a central location with easy access to the motorway and transport networks.
On site we have offices, a fully equipped laboratory and warehousing and distribution services. We also have blending facilities for both food and non-food operations. This part of the operation also caters for repacking and rebagging requirements.
It is our objective to seek continual improvement in product quality and customer service and our product range and systems are regularly reviewed to achieve this in a cost effective manner.
